When I received my first delivery on Monday, it felt like Christmas. I stumbled out of bed and opened the front door to find a cooler filled with prepared meals for the next two days, and it was all completely healthy. DeliverLean provides drop-offs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The meals are 250 – 400 calories each, containing lean proteins, low-glycemic carbohydrates, high-fiber organic fruits and vegetables and healthy fats. DeliverLean also brews up raw, cold-pressed OnJuice juices which may be added to a meal plan as well. Aside from my meal plan, I also track daily consumption on an app called MyFitnessPal which allows you to record everything consumed with nutritional information included.
Let’s get to the good stuff, my meal plan…which has been incredibly delicious.
A typical two-day delivery under my meal plan includes:
Gluten-Free Caramel Apple French Toast with Coconut Yogurt
Southwestern Tofu Scramble with Peppers, Onions and Sweet Potato Latke

For those of who aren’t too familiar with the Beachbody brand or Shaun T, let’s just say that the workouts will have one sweating in places he/she didn’t know sweat could appear and crying by the end of the session. Needless to say, I was invited to check out Sweat USA powered by Reebook as part of my “Fab to Fit Series” when the nation’s first all-star fitness festival arrived in Miami. With over 3,000 fitness enthusiasts in attendance and over 100 exhibitors showcasing their innovative products/services, it was one of the most inspirational and motivating events that I’ve attended.
The genesis for the annual Sweat USA Miami Beach Fitness Festival is to expose consumers to the latest trends, options and resources available on the market today in the health, fitness and wellness genres, through bringing the industry, and its leaders, together under one roof within a city whose residents seek a healthy and active lifestyle. As essential as fashion is to a girl’s life, so is maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Therefore, I decided to put together a “Fab to Fit” series dedicated to wellness and how I maintain a healthy appearance both inside and out. Many people ask me what my workout routine is or what types of food to eat in order to live a healthy life, which is the motivation behind this series.

As many of you may know, I am quite obsessive when it comes to fitness and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Maintaining a healthy appearance both inside and out is important in building self-esteem or confidence. I receive a lot of inquiries regarding my diet or fitness routine, so today’s post features a few of my top tips for shedding stubborn belly fat along with a quick abdomen workout. Beauty stems from the inside-out, and one of my favorite methods for resetting my body is juice detoxing (or cleansing). After a juice cleanse, it leaves skin looking much smoother and gives a beautiful glow that can’t be applied with makeup. Therefore, I decided to try a 5-day juice cleanse to help remove any excess toxins from the body. Although I’ve done cleanses before, a 5-day juice cleanse was a new experience and amazing to say the least.
A typical juice cleanse consists of drinking 5-6 8oz. glasses of raw juice per day, along with water and/or green tea without consuming any foods. It seems to be trending on the west coast, with brands such as the BluePrint Cleanse, Pressed Juicery, and Jugo Fresh. These companies will deliver juice directly to clients which is rather convenient. For this experience, I juiced my own natural or organic fruits and vegetables because I own a Black and Decker juicer, which worked well for me.
Check out my 5-Day Juice Cleanse experience here:
Recipe used in my Green Juice (it varies, but this is the typical one that I used often):
1 bunch of Kale
1 bunch of Romaine
1 bunch of Spinach
1 bunch of celery
2 apples (green)
Happy Tuesday everyone! If you read my Healthy Habits: How I Lost 55 Pounds in Two Months post, then you know that I lost my baby weight by doing the Insanity workout program. My results were great so the creators of the program (Shaun T and Beachbody) flew me to New York to film the newest Insanity commercial. For my recap of that trip, check out NYC Trip and Insanity Commercial Part I and NYC Trip and Insanity Commercial Part II. After much anticipation, the commercial aired nationally over this past weekend and I’m so excited to share it with all of you. The excitement is not strictly because I was featured in the commercial, but the hard work that paid off with my weight loss story.
I also want to share today’s OOTD, which is a perfect look for Valentine’s Day. Pairing neutral colors with neon pink and sequins creates a fun yet classy look that remains romantic for this type of occasion.
What I’m Rocking:
H&M blazer & lace dress
F21 earrings & ring
For those of you who don’t know, I lost 55 lbs once I had my baby about a year ago and I wanted to share my story with you because I’ve gotten a lot of requests from people regarding my weight loss regimen and tips on losing weight. Therefore, I’m sharing my story with you 🙂
Although the video is lengthy, it includes my entire story so I didn’t really sum it up nor leave out any specific details. Let me know if you’d like to see more weight loss videos, etc.
