Video: How to Transform from Summer to Fall Fashion
It’s official – the time has come to bury summer fashion. However, there are ways to transform your summer wardrobe into fall-worthy looks as well. For example, basic tees or tanks can still be worn during the fall season by adding layered pieces such as chunky sweaters or denim button-up shirts with a leather jacket. Shorts, skirts and dresses can still survive by throwing on a pair of thick tights underneath them with some tall leather boots.
The essential items can easily be transformed from season to season by simply layering and learning how to switch pieces in and out of your looks. Many people used to think that I had so many different items of clothing in my closet when I was in high school or college when I just learned how to utilize what I owned to create different looks.
Check out my new video showcasing a summer to fall transformation that I put together with Warhon Media which features pieces by Urban Outfitters, H&M, ZARA, 2B Bebe, Steve Madden, and Forever 21 :
OOTD: Sapphire Waves.
What could possibly be better than 85 degree weather in December? Although I would love to wear layers and boots for the winter season, I can’t really complain about being able to rock my shorts and sleeveless tops still. If you live in gorgeous weather then you may also be looking for other ways to sport fall/winter fashion as well. In Miami, girls tend to throw on scarves and boots (as if we have cold weather) so I paired some simple black booties with today’s look of the day. Adding booties to an outfit can make it more fall/winter appropriate.
I’m looking forward to spending some time up north for the holidays so I’m just doing some last-minute shopping and getting everything together before I head up there. It’s the one time of year where I pull out my coats and tall boots! What are you doing for the holidays this year?

Private COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss Revealing
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. FUNKSHION Fashion Week has ended so I thought I’d share one of my recent events that I had the pleasure of attending. I was invited to a private event for the new COVERGIRL Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss which was held at The W Hotel South Beach. Myself along with other selected Miami fashion bloggers had the chance to get our nails done with custom designs by celebrity manicurist, Mar y Soul Inzerillo, that were inspired by the 2013 Custo Barcelona’s Spring-Summer collection showcased on the runway by Custo Barcelona for Vanidades Magia de la Moda 2012.
What would a manicure be without cocktails and delicious treats as well? The W Hotel catered a lavish spread for us to nibble on while we compared nail designs. I chose the nail design featuring Mint Mojito (#285), Go-Go Mango (#245) and Peaches and Cream (#125). They even created custom cocktails based on each nail gloss shade! How fab is that? To complement our manicures, we could choose an accessory courtesy of Nordstrom’s as well. I selected some arm candy with gold detailing by Kate Spade.
The new collection will be released November 1st, 2012 so I’ll be picking up a few of my favorite shades of course.
