As part of my “Back to School Series,” a comfortable and casual outfit is only fitting for today’s blog post. After all – comfort is key during the school days! There are some days when you wake up and just want to throw on a loose-fitting top and flats to call it a day with wardrobe styling. Graphic prints are currently quite trendy, so I’ve paired a flowing crop top with a simple pair of light-washed denim shorts to keep the look very clean and crisp.
One of my go-to items for the school season is a cute pair of flat shoes and these BCBG leather flats are perfection when I’m going to be running around or on my feet all day.

With their effortless style and breezy shape, maxi skirts are one of the most quintessential staples for a girl’s summer wardrobe. Although every girl doesn’t have mile-high legs, there is nothing wrong with adding heels along with a maxi skirt to create an ultra feminine look. I could go on and on about the numerous reasons why maxi skirts are so simple to style. Therefore, I filmed this quick how-to video displaying 5 different looks featuring the superstar summer piece: a lightweight maxi skirt.
Which one would you rock?

Bright colors are celebrated amongst fashion bloggers and socialites in a range of pieces, as a timeless summer trend. Inspired by the vibrant aura from the 1980’s, neon tones enhance the skin’s summer glow and create a look that is radiantly confident. A delicate neon top can effortlessly be paired with some neutral high-waisted shorts and minimal accessories to pull together a standout daytime look. This particular pairing could even function as an evening look by throwing on a sexy black pump and an oversized clutch.

As a leader in the Spanish-language fashion and beauty editorial world, Cosmopolitan en Español kicked off the summer season with its annual Beach Bash hosted by Editor-in-Chief Ana Victoria Taché at Nikki Beach Miami. Presenting sponsors included Splat, Samsara Imports and L.A. Colors Cosmetics.
Nikki Beach was the ideal location to host a beach bash, with its open beach space venue along with day beds and teepees to create a relaxing atmosphere. Aside from the fabulous location, guests were greeted pleasantly while snapping photographs in front of the Cosmopolitan Beach Bash step-and-repeat. The cocktail party was designed for fun and fearless women, featuring a Splat Hair Chalk beauty/hair bar, cosmetics application by L.A. Colors Cosmetics, and alcohol-infused cupcakes by Sweet & Tipsy.

One of my favorite fashion trends for the summer is showing off a little abdomen, and Miami has the perfect weather for such an outfit. Actually, the weather is so hot that wearing no clothes at all would seem perfectly normal in my mind (although my body would not agree). For today’s look of the day I paired a cropped bustier from the Spring 2013 “Forever LA” collection with a pair of high-waisted, lightweight pants from H&M’s Conscious Collection. Although I have not been shopping as much at Forever 21 lately, this particular collection caught my eye with its bold and alluring pieces which feature a mix of graphic tribal prints.
According to Grazia Daily, “The Forever LA collection has two parts, the West Side and the East Side. The East Side is inspired by 90s urban Los Angeles style with vintage and alternative style pieces—think Fresh Prince of Bel Air. While the West Side embodies the laid-back vibe of LA with abstract prints, vibrant sneakers and crop tops.” The face of the Forever LA collection is the timeless beauty, Cassie.

Hey guys! I recently had some events that I’ve been collaborating on and they were keeping me pretty busy for awhile, but I’m glad I had a chance to shoot a quick outfit of the day for my blog today. This week, I’ll be attending CoverGirl’s VIP Winter Music Conference pool party event as well as a fashion show that I’ve been working on. I wanted to share this casual daytime look that I rocked today, keeping it chic with a classic blazer and pairing it with bold colors/prints. I’m also loving the black and white trend for the spring season so I decided to throw on these checker printed shorts by ZARA. What are some of your favorite trends for the season?

Hey honeys, I’m back in sunny Miami Beach now! My recent trip to New York City for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week NY ended up stretching a little further than planned, as there was a major blizzard (most of you probably already know) that cancelled my outgoing flight. I had an amazing time in the city that never sleeps (and it truly doesn’t – or maybe that was just me). It seems like every time I go to New York, I find something new or another reason why I love that city so much. From the runway shows at Lincoln Center, to fashion events throughout the city, lunches in Times Square, shopping on Fifth Ave, meeting new people and old friends, business and pleasure, it was so much fun.
One of the first things I did in NYC was attend the first day of the Independent Fashion Bloggers conference, which is something I recommend all serious fashion bloggers attend every year. It’s not only a great networking opportunity, but I had the chance to learn from other blogger experiences as well. Benefit Cosmetics, MailChimp, and Fekkai Salon and Hair Products had some fabulous booths on-site, as well as Monster Headphones. I had the pleasure of being selected to do a quick photo collaboration with the suave supermodel Tyson Beckford and another blogger, rocking the Monster headphones in their booth.
Check out the goodies and photo diary of IFBcon below! For those who attended, it was great meeting you and can’t wait for next year.
